These terms apply to the Be Mumin app and bemumin.com, provided by BinaOrbit Labs (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The app
Be Mumin helps you keep track of your prayers and Islamic habits. Prayer times, the Qibla direction, Hijri dates and other religious information are calculated from published methods and your location. They can differ from your local masjid or authority, so please check with them for important dates and times. The app is a personal aid, not a religious ruling.
Free and Pro
Prayer times, prayer and habit tracking, reminders, Qibla, the Quran and the Hijri calendar are free. Be Mumin Pro (“Pro”) adds extra features, such as in-depth analytics, Pro themes, the Fajr alarm, App Block Pro, Pro Sync and Pro widgets. The features included can change as the app develops; we won't remove a free core feature to make it paid.
Subscriptions
- Pro is sold as a weekly or annual auto-renewing subscription through Google Play, at the price shown in the app before you buy.
- The annual plan may include a free trial for new subscribers. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, Google Play charges the annual price.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel or change plan at any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions; Pro stays until the end of the period you paid for.
- Payments, refunds and billing are handled by Google Play under Google Play's terms and refund policy.
- If Pro ends, your saved data and settings are kept; Pro features lock until you subscribe again.
- Use “Restore purchases” in the app to bring Pro to a new phone with the same Google account.
Your data
Your data stays on your phone unless you choose otherwise. Our Privacy Policy explains what the app keeps and when anything is sent. You're responsible for your own backups: Export my data saves a copy you keep, and Pro members can use the optional Pro Sync.
Fair use
Please don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or tamper with the app or its subscription checks, or use it to break any law. The Quran text, translations and fonts in the app come from their credited sources (Settings → About → Open-source licenses) and keep their own licenses.
No warranty
We work to keep the app accurate and reliable, but it's provided “as is”. Reminders and alarms depend on your phone's settings, battery saver and system, so we can't promise that every notification or alarm arrives on time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, BinaOrbit Labs isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for Pro in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Using the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of India, without taking away any protection the law of your own country gives you.
